Configuring Internet Explorer 5.0

  1. On your computer, click on the Start button, then click Settings, then Control Panel.
  2. Double click on the Internet Options icon in the Control Panel.
  3. Type in http://www.rpa.net in the Address text box in the Home page section
  4. Click on the Connection tab
  5. If you haven't already made an RPA Internet Dial Up Networking connection, or if this is a new computer, click on the Connect button and follow the instructions here to set up your RPA Account using the Internet Connection Wizard
  6. If you already have an RPA Internet Dial Up Networking connection, click in the open circle next to Dial whenever a network connection is not present and check Perform system security check before dialing.
  7. Click RPA Internet in the list of connections and click on the Settings button. (If you need to make an RPA Internet Dial Up Networking connection, click Add and follow the instructions Here)
  8. In the Dial-up Settings section, type your dialup id in the User name: text box
  9. Type your dialup id password in the Password text box
  10. Leave the Domain Name text box empty and click Advanced
  11. If there is a check next to Disconnect if idle you may remove it if you wish
  12. Place a check next to Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed if you wish and click OK.
  13. Select Outlook Express in both the E-mail and Newsgroups pull down menus
  14. If you have installed Microsoft Netmeeting (or any other Internet call software), select Microsoft Netmeeting (or another installed program) from the Internet call pull down menu
  15. Select Address book from the Contact list pull down menu
  16. Check Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser
  17. Click Apply, then Click OK.
