Account Setup Using Internet Connection Wizard

Note: You may be asked for your Original Windows 95/98 CD-ROM. Make sure you have the Windows 95/98 CD-ROM handy.

  1. Choose the middle option (I have an existing internet account through my phone line) and click Next
  2. Make sure the bullet is next to the top choice and click Next
  3. Select 'Connect using my phone line' and click Next
  4. Select 'Create a new dial-up connection' and click Next
  5. Make sure the area code is 716, then type in 295-7777 in the Telephone Number text box and click Next
  6. In the User ID text box type in your dialup_id and in the Password text box type in the dialup_id password
  7. Select Yes and click Next
  8. Select PPP and click Next
  9. Select I don't need to type anything when logging on and click Next
  10. Select My internet provider automatically assigns me one and click Next
  11. Select Always use the following then type 205.232.82.10 in the DNS Server text box, and 205.232.82.16 in the Alternate DNS Server text box and click Next
  12. Type RPA Internet in the text box and click Next
  13. Select Yes and click Next
  14. Select Create a new Internet mail account and click Next
  15. Type in your name in the Display Name text box and click Next
  16. Type in your email address as mailbox_id @rpa.net (where the mailbox_id is your mailbox id as listed on your information sheet) in the E-mail address text box then click Next
  17. Select POP3 from the menu
  18. Type incoming.rpa.net in the Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) server text box
  19. In the User ID text box type in your dialup_id and in the Password text box type in the dialup_id password
  20. Type outgoing.rpa.net in the Outgoing (SMTP) server text box

  21. Select Yes and click Next
  22. Type your mailbox id in the POP account name text box and your mailbox id password in the Password text box, then click Next
  23. Type in your mailbox id in the Internet mail account name text box and click Next
  24. Select Yes and click Next
  25. Make sure your name is in the Display name text box and click Next
  26. Make sure your correct email address is in the E-mail address text box and click Next
  27. Type news1.rpa.net in the News (NNTP) server text box and click Next
  28. Type RPA News 1 in the Internet news account name text box and click Next
  29. Select No and click Next
  30. Click Finish and your information is all set for use with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express
