Configuring and Uploading with WS_FTP LE

  1. Click Start > WS_FTP > WS_FTP95LE.



  2. The connect screen will appear. Click on the New button to create a profile for your RPA Website. Then fill in the blanks under General with the correct information (RPA FTP settings can be found here).



  3. Click on the Startup tab and type public_html in the blank for Initial Remote Site Folder. If you would like, you may also use the Initial Local Folder field to type in the path to the directory on your hard drive where your files are stored.



  4. Click OK to connect. WS_FTP will log you into your account on the RPA member web server. If you get any connect error messages, double-check the information you are typing in the blanks. Otherwise, you are ready to begin uploading your files.

    The directory listing on the left-hand side shows your files and folders on your hard drive. The directory on the right shows files and folders you upload to your account. To upload a file, you can navigate to the proper disk drive and folder on the left, highlight the file, and click the right arrow button [-->] in the middle to send it to your account on the server. Likewise, if you want to download a file from your account to your hard drive, you can highlight a file on the right and click the left arrow button [<--] to download it.



    When finished uploading, click Close to end the session. You can then view your files at http://members.rpa.net/~your_mailbox_name.
